LECTURE: Can you live without killing? Let’s consult our conscience

Can you live without killing? Let’s consult our conscience

  • March 20, 2022 at 19:30 CET
  • Online via livestream

In the previous 2 lectures we went inwards to find our conscience. In lecture 3 and 4 we go outwards, to test that view in daily life.

As a practical exercise this series ends with the (conscientious) question 'to kill or not to kill'. An indispensable exercise for one's own life, but also for all humanity. This knowledge prevents religions and beliefs from being abused as an excuse to kill dissidents.

In the previous lecture we looked at the deeper meaning of the fact that the hero in ancient Initiation tales (Arthur, Odysseus, Gautama the Buddha, Jesus, Socrates) overcame his enemies and did/did not kill them. This lecture focuses on one's own life.

This lecture consists of two parts. This is part 2. Part 1 was on March 6.
