Although this is little known, the Ubuntu philosophy of southern Africa also has its roots in ancient Egypt. This philosophy has now become known in the West. This is important, because in a divided world, we need a philosophy that emphasizes unity and interconnectedness of all life. Current examples show that this offers many opportunities for restoring harmony in society, even when that harmony was seriously disrupted.
