In the countless lives we have already lived, we have developed enough ethical knowledge to know that selfishness ultimately plunges us into suffering. Our inner knowing warns us of this. True, some people's consciences are broader than others', but everyone has enough inner knowledge to understand the idea of brotherhood as fact and to live by it.
Nevertheless, if disputes between nations do arise, submit them to judges who can resolve conflicts on the basis of ‘World's Conscience’.
Is there such a thing as World's Conscience? And if so, is that our fundamental touchstone for resolving international conflicts?
