A ceasefire is not peace, but a pause in hostilities. True peace arises when you no longer see the other as an enemy; no longer see them as someone who is fundamentally different from or separate from you.
There is no separation. Not only are we all connected to one another, but we are, in essence, one. We can develop an awareness of this. And only then will we put a definitive end to hostility, aggression, self-interest, and war.
